First iron ore is extracted from the ground at mines in northern Minnesota. The iron ore is then shipped to a steel mill in Indiana where it is processed into a steel coil. Coils are sent to a separate facility in Indiana where they are given the 3 part coating that helps make metal roofing such a durable product. Finished coils arrive in PA where they are formed into the panels that are installed on your roof.
